It only takes a rising #sun to turn up the #heat
Recently there has been a lot of discussion about the Miami Heat going after Carmello Anthony. The Carmelo from Syracuse would be a perfect fit for the Heat. Unfortunately that Melo is still in the rafters of Cuse U. The current version of Melo is Bernard King with a high price tag (ol skool reference - know your NBA history children). Good player but commands too much ball time to improve this Heat team. The lack of ball movement is one of the current issues surrounding Heat Nation. The Heat need the type of player that moves the ball, makes others better and does all the little things needed through the course of the game.
The player they should be going after is Eric Bledsoe. Bledsoe averaged 17.7 pts, 5.5 assists, 4.7 rebs with 1.6 steals for the Suns last season. BTW - he managed those numbers while recovering from knee surgery.
The Heat were one of the greatest teams in NBA history. When Chris Bosh, D-Wade and King James are in sync, it’s a basketball ballet that’s beautiful to watch.
Don’t blame Coach Sprols. He has emerged as one of the best coaches in the league through second guessing and tremendous scrutiny.
What truly missing from this dynamic and revolutionary team?
1) D-Wade knees are betraying the greatness that is Dwayne Wade.
2) A true point guard
3) A defensive stopper that isn't the player you wish to average 25 ppg.
4) Youth.
Bledsoe addresses three if these needs. He would help open the floor and Bosh could play h-o-r-s-e while King James can be… well King James. D-Wade could because 6th man of the year if his health doesn’t dramatically improve. Tough to swallow our pride when the mind is still ready but our body limits us. D is a smart one and he’ll figure it out. LBJ would also not have to shoulder the offensive load all game long, bring the ball up the floor as well as needing to guard everyone = extends his career by 3-5 seasons.
Additional pickup list should include; Shawn Livingston, Rudy Gay (make the numbers work Pat the Great) or Evan Turner (not sure what happened in Indiana but now he’ll come on the cheap), and a Danny Granger.
Dear Heat, for the answer to your woes - look to the rising Sun.
